- Presentation – Current Trends in Data Privacy (7:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.)
Stuart Lee will present Current Trends in Data Privacy. His topics will include:
- Current landscape
- Events since the invalidation for Safe Harbor
- Requirements of the new European General Data Protection Regulation
- The Privacy Shield Framework
- Predictions for the next 12 – 18 months
Stuart Lee is a member of the Privacy and Data Protection team at Deloitte and Touche LLP, specializing in international privacy and information governance. Stuart has worked with global clients headquartered in both Europe and the United States, to help identify and address privacy-related requirements in their cross-functional operations.
Prior to joining Deloitte, Stuart completed his PhD in Criminology and has published on topics related to global security. Stuart was a pre-doctoral fellow at the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism at the University of Maryland, and has delivered presentations on topics relating to international security to both academics and practitioners.

ISSA Triad of NC
The Information Systems Security Association is a not-for-profit, international organization of information security professionals and practitioners. It provides educational forums, publications, and peer interaction opportunities that enhance the knowledge, skill, and professional growth of its members.
The Triad of NC chapter provides a local resource for information security professionals to get together, learn new things, and develop relationships with others in the industry. If you are involved in information security, full or part time, or are simply interested in the subject, this organization is a great way to learn and grow.
The Triad of NC chapter meets the 4th Thursday of each month January – October and the 2nd Thursday in November and December. Meeting venues are generally rotated monthly between Dynamic Quest in Greensboro and Forsyth Technical Community College in Winston-Salem.
