3. Presentation  (7:00 pm – 8:00 pm): Current Trends in the Threat Landscape


Attackers are constantly changing their tactics and developing more sophisticated advanced threats.  Now more than ever, organizations need full lifecycle protection against targeted attacks and advanced persistent threats. 
Jason Ford of Proofpoint will discuss current trends in the threat landscape, and other topical issues of immediate impact to your security posture.

Presenter’s Biography:

Jason Ford is a 15-year information technology veteran, specializing in networking, messaging and security. Jason has served as the Senior Messaging Engineer at BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina and Palmetto Health, a hospital system based in Columbia, SC. In 2014 Jason joined Proofpoint as a Systems Engineer where he works with enterprise customers to understand the pain points in their security infrastructure and designs solutions that work within both their environment and budget.

ISSA Triad of NC

The Information Systems Security Association is a not-for-profit, international organization of information security professionals and practitioners. It provides educational forums, publications, and peer interaction opportunities that enhance the knowledge, skill, and professional growth of its members.

The Triad of NC chapter provides a local resource for information security professionals to get together, learn new things, and develop relationships with others in the industry. If you are involved in information security, full or part time, or are simply interested in the subject, this organization is a great way to learn and grow.

The Triad of NC chapter meets the 4th Thursday of each month January – October and the 2nd Thursday in November and December.  Meeting venues are generally rotated monthly between Dynamic Quest in Greensboro and Forsyth Technical Community College in Winston-Salem.
