Triad ISSA Chapter Meeting – October 26th

Cost: Free for Triad ISSA Chapter Members and First Time Visitors. $10 for returning visitors.  Dinner will be provided.

  1. Presentation  (7:00 pm – 8:00 pm):  F5 Presentation on Information Security

 

Abstract: 

Fighting fire with finesse.  Attackers are simultaneously targeting application footprints using increasingly sophisticated automated tools to exploit application vulnerabilities and identities.  Today we’ll discuss this trend in the application security landscape and how F5 can help.

 

Presenter’s Biography:

Corey Marshall is a Senior Security Solutions Architect for F5 Networks based out of Chicago. In this role, Corey acts as a liaison between customers and the F5 product teams, providing a hands-on, real-world perspective. He has 18+ years of experience with network and platform security across financial, commercial, and government sectors. His extensive security background includes secure network and platform design, digital forensics and surveillance, incident response, application security, regulatory compliance, and vulnerability assessment/ penetration testing. Currently, Corey focuses on web application protection, web and mobile fraud security, and identity and access strategy across the f5 product portfolio.

The Triad of NC chapter provides a local resource for information security professionals to get together, learn new things, and develop relationships with others in the industry. The Triad of NC chapter meets the 4th Thursday of each month January – October and the 2nd Thursday in November and December.  Meeting venues are generally rotated monthly between Dynamic Quest in Greensboro and Forsyth Technical Community College in Winston-Salem.
