Abstract:

Jim Keegan, Director of Information Security, Essent Guaranty will discuss “Pandemic Planning, The Return to the Office (or Not) and How to Guard Against the New Attacks Methods”.

Presenter’s Biography:

Jim Keegan has progressively moved through various security positions throughout his career, from a rifleman in Northern Iraq (assigned to the Berlin Brigade), to a Squad Leader in the 82nd Airborne Division and on to corporate America. Jim made the transition from kinetic security engagements to cyber security ones while assigned to the US Army Space and Missile Defense Command and later the Missile Defense Agency as an ISSO. Jim’s work has further transitioned to the financial world, where he holds CISSP and Q/EH certifications and is now the Director of Information Security for a Financial Firm.

Jim’s passions are to 1) engage with community and business leaders, to understand their needs and help provide an actionable risk-based approach to securing their resources, freeing them to make sound business decisions based on understanding applicable risk; and 2) to build a blue team that gets more purple every day. Trying Harder!
