Triad ISSA Chapter Meeting – July 25th

Cost: Free for Triad ISSA Chapter Members and First Time Visitors. $10 for returning visitors.  Dinner will be provided.

Agenda:

1. Meet, greet, network, and dinner (will be provided) (6:00 pm – 6:45 pm)
2. Chapter business (6:45 pm – 7:00 pm)
3. Presentation (7:00 pm – 8:00 pm): Working with the FBI Before, During and After an Incident

Abstract:

Special Agent Scholtz’s discussion will include information on working with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) before, during, and after you have reported a security incident. It will address threats, intelligence sharing, and other matters concerning cyber incidents.

Presenters’ Biography:

Special Agent Scholtz has been working for the FBI since 2004. His investigative background includes White Collar Crime, Public Corruption, Counterterrorism, and Cyber Crime programs. He is currently assigned to the Greensboro Resident Agency of the FBI’s Charlotte Field Office. His current focus is investigating Cyber Crime.

Photography policy: The Board may take pictures of presenters and of meeting audiences. Pictures of smaller groups or individuals require permission from the subject(s). Registration implies acceptance of this policy.

The Information Systems Security Association is a not-for-profit, international organization of information security professionals and practitioners. It provides educational forums, publications, and peer interaction opportunities that enhance the knowledge, skill, and professional growth of its members.

The Triad of NC chapter provides a local resource for information security professionals to get together, learn new things, and develop relationships with others in the industry. If you are involved in information security, full or part time, or are simply interested in the subject, this organization is a great way to learn and grow.

The Triad of NC chapter meets the 4th Thursday of each month January – October and the 2nd Thursday in November and December.  Meeting venues are generally rotated monthly between Dynamic Quest in Greensboro and Forsyth Technical Community College in Winston-Salem.
