The Future of Identity – Going Passwordless and Beyond

The onslaught of account takeover attacks that are due to compromised and insecure passwords is driving a strong need for passwordless solutions. However, eliminating passwords is only the first step on the path to a fundamentally strong authentication process. Equally important, particularly in the “new normal” era of work from anywhere and rapidly increasing cloud adoption, is the move to a risk-based authentication process without causing the end-user friction often seen with multi-factor authentication, VPNs, and intrusive device management. During this session, Kurt will discuss how cybersecurity and identity management are coming together where identity is truly the new perimeter, and the longer term future of identity management.

Topics will include:

  • Passwordless – the state of the art for strong authentication
  • Continuous risk-based authentication and the intersection of security and identity
  • Sovereign Identity
