Abstract:

Sometimes it’s “just the culture.” Sometimes it’s us. But it always takes a strong team and network to make long impactful change. This discussion will address techniques to implement within yourself, as a manager or as a team lead, to shock a toxic security culture for the long term. We will go into what to do, what you probably shouldn’t do, and what the professionals have to say about changing behavior through interaction and motivational triggers.

Presenter’s Biography:

Nia Luckey is the President of the Women’s Society of Fayetteville and Fort Bragg Chapter and the ISSA Fayetteville/Fort Bragg Chapter Secretary. Her current role is the Senior Secure Operations Center Lead for DoD Cloud Solution for VTC. She volunteers in her local community teaching boot camps and breakout sessions teaching cyber security to female youth at East Carolina University (ECU) and at Fayetteville Technical Community College (FTCC).

“I don’t let failure and people that don’t see my potential stop me from success, I use it as my fuel.” ~Nia Luckey~
